Recycling project sees us named as finalist in Third Sector Awards

Having recently been named on Real Business’s list of the Top 25 SME Culture Leaders for 2019, we’re celebrating once again after being shortlisted in the prestigious Third Sector Awards.

The awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of charities and the work done to make a real difference to society. We’re a finalist in the Communications Agency of the Year category for a project we ran on behalf of our client the Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd.

We were tasked with promoting  the charity’s Recycle with Michael scheme, which encourages young people to think about the vast amount of textiles that are sent to landfill each year. Our aim was to inspire 100 schools from across 13 counties to sign up to collect items for recycling, but the campaign was such a success that 236 schools took part.

This involved over 64,000 pupils donating 68 tonnes of textiles!

Our MD Peter Sutton said: “Our team works extremely hard to develop creative ideas that produce tangible results for our clients and I’m delighted that its efforts have been recognised by the judges for the Third Sector Awards.

“The campaign resonated with schools and, due to its success, we’re continuing to work with the charity to target more schools and help it raise awareness about the importance of reducing the amount of clothing items being sent to landfill.

“We look forward to attending the awards ceremony and celebrating the fantastic work done by charities across the UK.”

The winners will be announced during a special awards ceremony at the Marriott Grosvenor Square Hotel in London on Thursday 19th September.
