We help Sussex businessman to ‘ignite’ his new company

Here at PMW, one of our values is to support the nearby community, and as such, we were delighted to join our client NYEs Building Supplies, accountants and business advisors Kreston Reeves and our local newspaper The District Post to launch a brand new initiative call ‘Ignition’.

The project invited business ventures, which had been operating for 24 months or less, or those who were keen to set up a new company, to apply for £7,000 worth of commercial advice and mentoring.

The prize included:

  • A free advert in The District Post
  • Help with brand strategy and logo design, as well as two designed adverts from us
  • A two-day ‘Brand DNA workshop’ to help you and your business’ growth plan from Kreston Reeves
  • Four two-hour quarterly mentoring sessions to review, revise and progress your growth plan from Kreston Reeves’ growth advice team

Some fantastic applications were received and shortlisted finalists were invited to a Dragon’s Den style event where they pitched their ideas. One of our Directors, Tracie Carter, was delighted to join ‘dragons’ from the other partner companies to find out more about the new businesses.

We’re delighted to announce that Hedley Woodman was chosen as the winner!

Hedley, who is a veterinary surgeon by trade, wowed the judges with a brand-new, eco-friendly alternative for the veterinary sector. Keep an eye out for his name and the launch of his exciting venture!
