Celebrating 25 years of business in style!

This month is a special one for PMW as it’s our 25th anniversary. To celebrate we’ve lined up a host of opportunities to mark the start of the business back in 1993. From ‘strong men’ to a 1990s revival – it’s been an eventful month!

At the end of July, we will be hosting a VIP party at one of Britain’s best-loved sporting events, the UK’s Strongest Man 2018. As headline sponsor of the finals on the 27th to 29th July, we’re proud to support this Herculean display of super-human strength. PMW clients past, present and future will be joining us for a hospitality-filled weekend to remember.

Earlier in the month, we rolled out the red carpet (literally) for Founder and Managing Director Peter Sutton during a surprise PMW birthday barbeque. Delivered to the office on an imaginary errand by wife Sandra and son Chris, Peter was genuinely surprised to find the whole company waiting for him. Touched by our efforts, he was also a little alarmed at our level of subterfuge.

Festooned in bunting made with pictures of PMW employees, the party was an important opportunity to share embarrassing stories and also celebrate our sense of pride at being part of a successful, creative, family-focused business operating in the heart of the Sussex countryside. Peter was presented with a photobook of pictures to mark 25 years of marketing achievements.

Not a company to miss an opportunity to dress up, we stepped back in time on Monday 23rd July to pay homage to the iconic fashion of the 1990s.

Do you remember when a litre of unleaded fuel cost 50p and Take That ruled the charts? From Grunge and Britpop to stonewashed denim and baggy tracksuits, it was a fitting trip down memory lane for some of the team, and an introduction to the early 90s for others.

Our MD Peter commented on the day:

“When PMW opened its doors, there was no email, no social media, and no internet. It was just me and a phone booking print and radio advertising and working with great creative people, some of who still work for us. The company grew from there and like many other local businesses, we’ve had our share of highs and lows, but our philosophy of using creativity to develop bespoke marketing packages has always won through. We’ve worked on so many great campaigns, with some fantastic clients who’ve become friends over the years.

“Going back to 1993 was a fun way to celebrate our 25th year, but when some of the younger members of our team had to ask advice on what to wear because they weren’t born, it certainly put into perspective how much of an achievement it is to be successfully operating after all this time. I’m extremely excited about PMW’s future and here’s to the next 25 years!”
