PMW named one of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work – again!

We’re buzzing here at PMW, and for good reason! For the second year running, we’ve earned a spot on The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list, powered by WorkL. That’s right, we’re officially one of the UK’s top employers in the small organisation category.

This isn’t just a nice little trophy for the shelf – it’s a serious nod to the culture we’ve worked hard to build. A culture where creativity, collaboration and people-first values are more than just buzzwords.

How we got there

WorkL’s framework looks at six key areas, and through an employee survey, we had to score ‘excellent’ across all of them:

  1. Reward and Recognition
  2. Instilling Pride
  3. Information Sharing
  4. Empowerment
  5. Wellbeing
  6. Job Satisfaction

We achieved top marks with an overall engagement score of 87%, and we’re especially proud of our 90% score for empowerment. It shows our team feels trusted and supported to do their best work. There was also:

  • 89% for job satisfaction
  • 88% for wellbeing
  • 86% for information sharing
  • 85% for both reward and recognition and instilling pride

Why It Matters

Peter Sutton, our founder and managing director , said:

“I want our team not just to enjoy what they do, but to love coming to work at PMW every single day. Providing them with an environment where they can be creative and collaborative and have the freedom to express their ideas is one of the most important, if not the most important, parts of running a successful business to me. I am proud of each and every one of them and their continued commitment to making PMW the great place it is.”

What the experts say

Lord Mark Price, Founder of WorkL, shared:

“Many congratulations to those featured in the 2025 Sunday Times Best Places to Work list, powered by WorkL. The recognised organisations lead the way in employee experience and will now benefit from improved retention and recruitment for the year ahead. WorkL is proud to power these awards and support organisations to measure employee experience and to retain and recruit the very best employees.”

And Zoe Thomas, editor of The Sunday Times Best Places to Work, highlighted just how competitive this list is:

“The Sunday Times Best Places to Work list is the UK’s biggest survey of employee engagement, compiled in partnership with workplace expert WorkL. Spanning a raft of sectors and located throughout the UK, the organisations in this year’s list range from innovative start-ups with a handful of employees to big multinational corporations staffed by thousands. These organisations know that happy employees are the superpower helping them thrive.”

So, what’s next?

Recognition like this fuels our fire to keep improving, keep listening and keep making PMW an even better place to work. And when a workplace gets high scores from its team for things like empowerment, wellbeing and job satisfaction, you can bet it means better ideas, better service and better results for our clients.

Very personable and well resourced outfit but actually very experienced and competent too. Surprisingly detail focused and strategic. Ability to think outside the box and step away from the norm which in turn can generate some great and differential marketing pieces - recommended

PMW produced an excellent website for us, designing it from an SEO stand point first and foremost which leads us to consistently get high organic impressions and clicks. The design is clean and modern, and still looks great even though it was built some time ago.
