Together, we can make a difference in 2025
A bold new pro bono mission
Following the incredible success of our 2024 DO30 campaign, where we supported 30+ charities with pro bono marketing and fundraising efforts, we’re excited to launch an all-new initiative for 2025.
We’re calling on the Sussex community to suggest local, impactful projects we can take on and complete.
The projects we’re looking for must benefit charities, non-profits, or community organisations within Sussex and should make a meaningful difference for the people or causes they serve.
Remember the iconic TV programme Challenge Anneka? Anneka Rice was given tasks to accomplish with no prior knowledge of the project and had to rally people and companies to contribute their time and resources for free.
Now, we’re channelling that same spirit.
Here are some examples of what we can possibly do:
- Transform a community garden into a disability-friendly haven: Add accessible pathways, sensory plants, seating areas, and more.
- Redecorate a room in a local hospice: Brighten up a space with fresh paint, new furnishings, and décor to create a warm, welcoming environment.
- Revamp a children’s play area for a community group: Repair and repaint equipment, add safety features, or create engaging new elements like sensory play zones.
- Provide essential storage for a food bank: Build or supply vital storage areas or elements to improve organisation and capacity.
- Renovate a charity kitchen or break room: Replace worn-out fixtures, improve layouts, or install new cabinetry for a fresh, functional space.
- Create a cosy space for a mental health support group: Redecorate and furnish rooms to foster a safe, calming atmosphere for attendees.
- Spruce up a local animal shelter: Add storage for supplies, repaint kennels, or create a more inviting adoption area.
- Install shelving or seating in community hubs: Enhance spaces like libraries, village halls, or youth clubs to better serve their visitors.
What we can’t do
While we’re eager to roll up our sleeves, there are some limitations to what we can realistically take on.
- No large-scale construction projects: We can’t build new structures from the ground up, such as entire buildings, large extensions, or permanent shelters.
- No projects requiring planning permission: If it needs approval from local authorities, then we’re afraid that this would be outside our scope.
- No complex electrical or plumbing work: While we can work with trusted tradespeople for some jobs, complex installations or overhauls may be beyond our capabilities.
You’re probably thinking, “But you’re a marketing agency—what do you know about building, decorating, or installing things?”
That’s the whole point!
This is the ultimate team-building adventure for us at PMW. By stepping outside our usual roles, we’ll tap into our creativity, lean on teamwork, and use our little black book of contacts to make big things happen.
We may not be tradespeople in the traditional sense, but we’re determined to achieve spectacular results through collaboration, creativity, and good old-fashioned team spirit. Plus, everyone who helps us will get a little bonus too: free marketing!
If you know a charity, community cause, or non-profit in Sussex that could benefit from our help, we’d love to hear from you! If you have an idea but aren’t sure if it fits, email us anyway. We’ll genuinely review all suggestions and see if it’s something we can take on.
Submit your nomination below
Nomination deadline:
Sunday 30th March 2025
We’ll carefully review all submissions and select four projects we’re confident we can bring to life by the end of the year.
We will contact everyone who submitted a nomination with our decision by the middle of April.
Let’s make a difference together!
This isn’t just about PMW – it’s also about coming together as an amazing Sussex community to create real, lasting change for the organisations on our doorstep that need it most.
