Senior SEO Manager

Are you an experienced SEO leader with a strong strategic mindset and a passion for driving measurable commercial growth?

Looking for a role where you can shape direction, influence wider digital strategy and lead a high-performing team within an ambitious agency?

PMW is looking for a Senior SEO Manager to join our collaborative and forward-thinking digital team. In this role, you’ll take ownership of our SEO offering at a strategic level — leading client direction, supporting business growth and developing our people, processes and performance.

You’ll play a key role not only in delivering exceptional results for clients, but also in shaping the future of our digital services including the role of AI within our operational framework. Working closely with the Digital Director and wider channel leads, you’ll ensure SEO is fully integrated across web, paid media and content strategies.

This is an exciting opportunity to step into a senior leadership role within a growing agency, where your expertise, ideas and commercial thinking will directly influence success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and delivery of advanced SEO strategies, campaigns and activities aligned to client business objectives and commercial growth
  • Oversee a portfolio of high-value client accounts, acting as a senior strategic advisor
  • Define long-term organic growth roadmaps, ensuring alignment with wider digital marketing and commercial goals
  • Drive performance through data-led decision making, identifying opportunities for growth and efficiency
  • Conduct and oversee in-depth technical audits, competitor benchmarking and digital landscape analysis including improving LLM visibility in search
  • Collaborate with Ads, Web, PR and Studio teams to deliver integrated digital campaigns
  • Support website launches, migrations and development projects from a strategic SEO perspective
  • Ensure best practice across all SEO outputs, evolving internal processes and standards
  • Lead regular performance reviews, presenting insights and strategic recommendations to senior stakeholders
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and contribute to revenue generation
  • Undertake keyword research, optimisations, on-page content and backlink analysis

Leadership & Team Development

  • Lead, mentor and develop SEO Executives and Senior Executives, supporting their progression and skill development
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture across search and wider digital teams
  • Provide guidance on complex technical and strategic challenges
  • Support resource planning, workflow management and team efficiency
  • Champion continuous learning, innovation and adoption of emerging SEO technologies

Commercial & New Business

  • Play a key role in new business activity, including analysis, forecasting, pricing and proposal development
  • Lead or support client pitches, confidently presenting SEO strategy and commercial value
  • Ensure all SEO activity aligns with departmental objectives and agency growth targets
  • Identify new service opportunities and contribute to the evolution of the agency’s digital offering

  • Experience working across integrated digital channels, including paid media and web development
  • Confident analysing complex data and translating it into actionable insights and strategy
