A warm welcome to PMW's rising stars!

We're delighted to have had three talented superstars join Team PMW in the last few months!

Lexie and Georgina have joined our fabulous PR department as interns and Georgia is our dynamic Social Media Intern.

Having been here for a few months, here's a bit of lowdown on the triumphant trio:

Georgia H – Social Media Intern

GeorgiaAfter graduating from Birmingham Uni, Georgia worked in a research laboratory but the bubbly one admits that it wasn't really for her and she wanted to work somewhere more vibrant.  It was during this time that she got involved with her boyfriend's blog, which is when she developed her fascination with all things digital.

Georgia applied for the role at PMW, having recently moved to the area and wanting to gain experience in a job she would enjoy and feel passionate about. She says:

"I sensed that PMW had a great vibe right from the interview and everyone was really friendly and welcoming so it looked like a great place to work.  My main highlights so far have been live tweeting events such as Plumpton Racecourse's Moorcroft Raceday and attending The Best Business Women Awards with Lady Decorators. No two days are the same and I'm really enjoying the opportunity to learn even more about the power of social media."

Georgina  G – PR Intern

Georgina grew up in the Horsham area before heading to Exeter Uni to study Psychology with Sport Science. She graduated in the summer and returned to Southwater where she started looking for a job.

The planets were aligned! With an interest in working in PR, Georgina happened to see our internship advertised and thought it was the perfect opportunity to kick off her career and learn new skills.

After a week-long trial, Georgina was offered the internship:

"I really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the sort of work I would be doing. So far I've been taught techniques, including how to write a press release and how to carry out research to make an interesting and media-relevant story.  I'm supporting one of PMW's Senior PR Managers so I learn a lot from her and I'm really gaining in confidence and ambition."

Lexie E – PR Intern

Lexie moved from the New Forest to Brighton last year in order to study event management but the course just wasn't for her – she decided that she wanted to be more hands-on by learning whilst in a job, to get her teeth into something that was more challenging.

"I saw that PMW was looking for a PR intern and applied straight away. PMW offers so much under one roof which initially interested me. At my first interview I arrived to find a buzzy atmosphere and a close-knit team of creative people who welcomed me straight away – I even saw them singing 'Happy Birthday' to a team mate while I was there! – and I definitely knew this was where I wanted to work!

I've already learnt so much at PMW by working with Tilly and Lottie on the retail side and I'm hoping to stay on at PMW after my internship ends. The highlight of being at PMW is working with a great bunch of bubbly people who work hard and play hard – even from my first trial day at PMW I could sense the family atmosphere."
