On Friday 22nd April PMW's MD Pete and Digital Director Graham will be taking on the National Three Peaks Challenge which sees contenders climb the three highest peaks in England, Wales and Scotland:
For their challenge Pete and Graham will be joined by Pete's sons Luke and Christopher and their friend Tommi, as well as outdoor adventure expert Richard Betts from Sussex company, Pied a Terre. Their support crew will be Gary Bishop and Julian Peters.
The team will drive up to Scotland to climb Ben Nevis before returning to their motorhome to drive to Scafell Pike in the Lake District National Park. The Challenge will culminate with them ascending Snowdon in Wales.
Pete and Graham attempted this challenge 5 years ago but, due to another team mate being injured, unfortunately Pete had to bow out and was unable to complete it. Although feeling disheartened at the time, Pete has channelled this experience into being even more motivated and training hard to be in the best shape possible: "I've got a lot to prove", he said.
For anyone reading who's not met Pete or Graham, they are very different characters but both have the necessary streak of tenacity and self assurance required for such a challenge; the chaps are friends, as well as colleagues, and they like to have a good laugh: it is this established trust and camaraderie which will propel them up the mountains to accomplish this tough challenge – good luck guys!
The guys want to raise £10,000+ for the following charities: Born Free, Sport Relief, Dementia UK, Chestnut Tree House and the Kent Cancer Trust - please click here to sponsor them!
