We are very proud of our young Account Manager, Lizzie Blount. Not only does she work tirelessly for us but she also looks after a lovely bunch of Scouts and does lots of crazy charity challenges in her spare time too!
Lizzie's latest charity jaunt took her to the heart of Snowdonia in Wales to complete Europe's longest zip line across the mountains of the stunning Welsh countryside.
She did this extreme stunt to raise money for The Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, a cause she is personally passionate about having completed it herself. In celebration of its diamond anniversary, the DofE awards are challenging people to raise funds by doing once-in-a-lifetime activities to raise money which will help to transform the lives of young people across the UK.
Zip World Velocity is not only the longest, but also the fastest zip wire in Europe, with participant often reaching speeds well in excess of 100mph!
Lizzie said "This is by far one of the most adrenaline-pumping activities I've completed. You go so fast in places and it is almost like you are flying due to the position you are 'hung' on the wire from. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a thrill! It's a great way to raise money for charity too. I raised over £400 for the Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme, so I'm really pleased with that."
