A mammoth creation

Have you seen our mammoth yet? We are extremely proud of Ann Cestor – our creatively designed and team-made contribution to the Horsham 2015 Elephantastic campaign. The campaign's aim is to raise money for International wildlife charity, The Born Free Foundation, who will use the funds to help build an elephant sanctuary in Tuscany, the first in Europe.  65 other local charities will also benefit from the campaign.

The idea for Ann Cestor came about from the strapline of Elephantastic – Loving Life. Mankind hunted the impressive woolly mammoth to extinction hundreds of years ago and whilst the human race has evolved hugely since then, it seems that some people still feel the need to hunt modern day mammoths – elephants. We created Ann to highlight the need to protect elephants – ensuring their survival for many years to come.

Making Ann look like a realistic creature was a 'mammoth' task but, as always, the PMW team pulled together and used their individual skills to create something wonderful and meaningful.

Launched last weekend, 26th July, visitors were able to admire the herd of phenomenally and eclectically designed elephants at Swan Walk shopping centre in Horsham.

Families are now invited to pick up maps of the three Elephantastic trails - something to keep the kids entertained over the summer holidays. Participants can follow the trails around the town and surrounding rural area, and if they find all the elephants, they can be in with a chance to win a dream family holiday trip to an elephant orphanage in Nairobi.

Maps are also available to download from www.elephantastic.org.uk
