Flippin' fantastic foursome support charity in Pancake Day event

Congratulations to our fabulous pancake flipping foursome, who took part in the Horsham Rotary Club's annual Pancake Day race.

Raising funds for Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity, the team demonstrated fantastic pancake flipping prowess in an event that tested both speed and skill, earning them second place in their heat.

Our team, which was made up of Emilie Large, Georgina Garman, Georgia Hardman and Lexie Elliott, took it in turns to test their abilities in a relay race with a difference, which involved flipping the pancake whilst running and adding lemon and sugar along the way before passing to the next teammate.

The Pancake Day event was hosted by television presenter Dave Benson Phillips and took place in the Horsham Carfax, where businesses and charities battled it out to become 2017 champions.

Commenting on behalf of the team's fundraising venture, Georgina said:

"The race was so much fun and to know that we were taking part on behalf of such an amazing cause was even better. The atmosphere was great, and crowds of people turned up to cheer and support all the teams. Our competitive spirit came out during the relay race so it was a really close finish."
