Camden Town Brewery’s ‘drinkable TV ad’
If you’ve been missing a drink with your mates in recent months, take a look at Camden Town Brewery’s ‘drinkable TV ad’. The London-based brewery, which is giving away thousands of free beers, has created the world’s first ‘drinkable’ television commercial. Viewers of the advert can scan an on-screen QR code with a phone camera and receive either a 6, 12 or 24 pack of Camden Hells Lager. Cheers!
Foodhub’s ‘Just-Delete’ campaign
If you’re partial to a takeaway or two, then chow down on Foodhub’s ‘Just-Delete’ campaign, which is encouraging diners to ditch competitor delivery apps in return for a free meal. Foodhub claims that using its app will save 15% on average versus the same food from the same takeaway on other services with no hefty commission or delivery fees passed on to businesses or consumers. We want seconds!
Turkey Twizzlers’ comeback
There was a time when the very mention of a Turkey Twizzler would strike fear into fridge freezers across the country. However, after 15 years off the menu, the much-criticised meaty morsels are making a comeback with a new and improved ‘healthier’ recipe. Made by Bernard Matthews, Turkey Twizzlers will be available in two flavours and include 70% meat, compared to just 34% at the time they were discontinued. The brand’s teaser, titled ‘Come Back of the Century’, hinted at the return of the turkey teatime favourite and explained that ‘the world is more in need of joy than ever’. Days later, Turkey Twizzlers were sold out across the UK within hours of returning to the shelves. Winner, winner, turkey dinner!
Coca-Cola’s Premier League adverts
With the 2020/2021 football season due to begin on 12th September, matches will continue to be played behind closed doors and in front of empty terraces. Coca-Cola is encouraging fans to make the most of watching matches from home, enlisting stars including Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford and Jermaine Jenas for its latest campaign to mark the start of the Premier League season. Titled ‘Make your home the home end’, the series of 20-second adverts shows fans watching a game from home while a player appears in their living room.
Oliver Bridge, Senior Brand Manager at Coca-Cola Great Britain, said: “We hope the launch of the campaign will help make the home viewing experience as enjoyable as possible by making the home end atmosphere extra special. We couldn’t be happier to have Harry, Marcus, Alex, JJ and Alex on board – the perfect team to bring the magic of the game to even more fans.” Goal!
